How to be Wise in the Eyes of God

From the very beginning, man has desired wisdom. The devil played on this desire to tempt man into sin. He approached Eve and asked about God’s ruling concerning the trees of the garden. Because the desire for wisdom was so strong, Eve succumb to temptation and thus man fell into sin. Now, you may wonder if you can, or even if you should be wise in the eyes of God. The answer is an absolute yes. In fact, Jesus Himself gave to us the two-step process on becoming wise in the eyes of God. He taught, “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. Great Gifts For Others

This is that wonderful time of year when people are thinking of giving gifts to others. There is a wide assortment of gifts you can choose from to give to those you love. The challenge that most of us are faced with is trying to figure out the best gifts to give. They say that the best things in life are free. Today, this Psalm still provides peace of mind for us today by reminding us of our glorious Shepherd. Jesus described Himself as the Good Shepherd in John chapter 10. He loves and cares for His sheep with such magnitude and depth that His love is impossible to fully fathom. There are several ways that we see Jesus as The Good Shepherd who watches over us. He Leads us to Nourishment . Jesus said, “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32. Peter rightly declared concerning the words of Jesus, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” John 6:68 The words that Jesus has spoken to us through His holy word are nourishment for our soul and they are life. The beautiful part of the w...
